West Australian Skipper’s Ticket

Boating West can provide the training to obtain the West Australian Skipper’s Ticket.

Boating West uses the internationally recognised Yachting Australia Powerboat Handling Scheme. The course covers all the requirements of the Skippers Ticket, all completed in half a day’s instruction on the water with our qualified instructor. Not just the theory, but the practical experience in a boat.

Our course has a limited number of people so that all can gain plenty of hands on experience in a safe and supervised environment. It is fun too!

The minimum student age is 12 years.

Private Lessons

Private boating lessons are an excellent option to help you gain confidence driving or manoeuvring a boat. You may need only one lesson or a few to gain your confidence so that you can enjoy your boating rather than limiting your boating to your current ability.

We can offer lessons in your boat or in ours.

RIB Challenge

Mainly for juniors. The RIB Challenge is a “time trial” event that we can run for your club or group that although the event is “won” based on the fastest time, the emphasis is on boat handling skills rather than boat speed. The best driver will win, not the fastest driver. Great training event that will improve your boat driving skills and is a lot of fun.
